CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (NSW)
This course specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work. The unit requires the person to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others. It covers identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures, and identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. It also covers correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.
COURSE CONTENTS
A candidate must show evidence of the ability to complete tasks outlined in elements and performance criteria of this unit as prescribed on the Government Training Website below: CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry This course is directed at learners completing studies through a minimum of six (6) hours of face-to-face training not including breaks. Importantly, this assessment must be completed in the presence of an assessor as online training for White Card is not accepted in QLD unless residing 100 km or more from our training location. Typically, the hours would be from 9 am to 4 pm or customised per Corporate client requests.
